Introduction of The University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Muzaffarabad

Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJ&K) is the liberated part of the State of Jammu & Kashmir. It is situated in the north of Pakistan. The distance is 110 km from Islamabad. The total area of AJ&K is 13297 sq. km. The population of AJK is over three million.

The University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir is a public sector University of AJ&K. The University of was established in 1980. It has three campuses. Main campus (Muzaffarabad), Neelum campus (Athmuqam) & Jhelum Valley campus (Hattian Bala).

The Main campus has Faculty of Arts, Sciences, Engineering, and Health & Medical Sciences.

The Neelum campus offers undergraduate programs in English, Geology, Computer Sciences, and Information Technology.

A new state of the art King Abdullah Campus at Chattar Klass is under construction. This new campus will help in the near future to further expand our academic activities and operate at our full capacity.
The university is enhanced with Business Incubation Center (BIC), Lincoln Corner, Hi-Tech Lab, Central Library, Directorate of Sports, and on-campus female and male hostels.
