Introduction of Bank of Khyber, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The Bank of Khyber was founded in 1991 through an Act established by the Provincial Legislative Assembly. It was granted the status of a registered bank in September 1994. The Bank holds a sole condition and stands out amidst different banks working within Pakistan and has the opportunity of being bracketed amongst the only four government banks in the country.
The bank has long been linked with business and financial circles and has been actively involved in provisioning to the financial needs of all divisions. It has strongly been associated in extending funded and non-funded abilities to its consumers for various business needs.
Today, BOK is an “A-1” ranked commercial bank, working across the country with a chain of 169 branches and still expanding. The provincial government is the major stakeholder and throughout 25 years of history, the Bank has continuously performed an active role in the growth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in particular and participated in the economic improvement of Pakistan in general.
